Originally from Seoul, Korea, Jung Kim began her photography and printing studies at age 14. After attending Parsons School of Design, she spent many years in the editorial world of magazines, including Teen Vogue and American Vogue. Her keen eye for fashion, art and culture organically led her to photographing musicians and artists, especially underground and independent ones like her longtime muse, Daniel Johnston.

She resides in New York City and is currently working on a photography book with Daniel to be published in 2012.
